About The Bar
The bar that is now Jerry's first opened its doors in 1955 when Al Leiche built the strip mall the bar is part of. The bar went through various owners and names until 1968, when it became Jerry's Bar (thanks to then-owner Jerry Walle) and has retained that moniker ever since. A few more people helped along the way until long-time Omaha bartender Rob Rutar took the reins in March of 2012.
Since then, Rob has totally revamped the place from wall to wall with new booths, bar stools and a beautiful patio. Dedicated to creating a fun bar-going experience for his patrons, he has put a great staff behind the bar, great tunes on the jukebox, a liquor/beer selection second-to-none and decorated the place in a fashion that would make your grandparents jealous.
We have twenty beers on tap, usually featuring one or two local breweries, and about sixty different bottles in the cooler. Our well-curated bottled beer selection includes domestic tallboys, international favorites, gluten free beers, seasonal features, ciders and non-alcoholic beers. Our vast liquor selection is top shelf, yet very reasonably priced. And it's always 5 o'clock at Jerry's because we offer Happy Hour pricing all day, every day.
Our doors are open 7AM to 2AM daily, so stop in and discover your new favorite bar!
